Our 2 New Goats
Our 2 new Male Pygmy Goats arrived today 22nd Nov 2023. Many thanks to John/Ann Maher and Martin/Hilary Fallon for providing funding to purchase these new additions to Garraí Bhríde. We can't with to see what devilment they get up to!!
They are 4 months old and are wormed and neutered.
We've named our goats Tom (White) and Gerry (Brown). These were the most popular names voted by the pupils themselves. Mollie Downey form 4th Class had the final say when her name was drawn out of the ballot box.

New Arrivals
A big welcome to Thelma and Louise,- our two new additions to Garraí Bhríde. Thanks to Hillary Fallon for arranging the purchase and delivery of these two ewes on Saturday 30/9/‘23
Great work done by these 5th Class lads along the Chapel Street Pedestrian Entrance to the old GNS. We now have another beautiful walkway through the side orchard up to our Main Door at SBC.
A visit from our Vet
Our past pupil and School Vet, Danielle Cusack visited SBC on Tuesday June 2nd. Our lamb, Rua, has a condition called “foot scald”. He needs to be caught and held in a seated position. Then spray that blue stuff between his toes every two days. It’s his front left hoof that is giving the problem right now, but we sprayed both front hooves. Danielle also gave him a couple of anti-biotic/anti-inflammatory injections. The seven lads in the pictures helped out and know what to do. Danielle will come back next week to give the goats their shots for worms etc as well. She advised that goats are not necessarily grass eaters/grazers. They prefer to forage and will eat branches, bark, leaves, ivy and herbs. She suggests that classes bring back all that kind of feed from their Nature Walks and give it all into the goats.
New Benches
On 23/5/‘23 we put new bench seating into our Úllord at Garraí Bhríde. This is another welcome addition to the old Pedestrian Entrance off Chapel Street and further enhances our Outside Wellness Spaces.
Wellness & Wellbeing are one of the Core Pillars of our DEIS Plan at SBC. The children themselves are at the centre of all the little projects we carry out in these space

Our New Arrivals Peppa and Snorkles
Our Rabbits
During August 2021, Tariku Egan, his Mam and his Auntie Ger picked the black currants in our fruit garden. They then went home and made some beautiful home-made jam. Please feel free to pick any of the fruit on our farm each Summer.
Honesty Box
This is the Clonaslee N.S Honesty Box. The box will be placed outside Miss Buckley's Classroom between 1.30pm and 2.30pm each school day and then from 2.30pm to 3.30pm at the main front door. It contains produce from our school farm Garraí Bhríde. We will be selling eggs, lettuce, carrots, brocolli and cucumber amongst many other vegetables as they ripen throughout the year. Please donate what you wish in exchange for the produce into the donation folder that will be cleared each day. Just pop your donation into the envelopes provided and post through the front door letterbox. The money made will be used to buy feed for the animals. Thank you all for supporting Garraí Bhríde.
Our New Rabbits
Today, two new residents arrived in Garraí Bhride. Nibbles and Rocky. The excitement was palpable. After a tightly fought 'bunny naming' competition, Sam Brazil 3rd Class and Cayden 1st class came out victorious with some super names.
